New research by the University of New England (UNE) has found that the most dangerous place to drink alcohol is at home, more so than pubs and clubs.
An analysis of data from emergency departments over a 10-year period, showed 36 per cent of alcohol related injuries happen at home, with 13 per cent on the street and just 10 per cent at licensed premises.
Dr Cindy Woods from UNE's School of Health said the main concern was there were no regulations in the home environment.
